Former URI standout defensive back Ki'Ameer Johnson received his first NFL tryout last week, as he was one of over 75 players at Cleveland Browns rookie minicamp. [+]

URI Captures 2008 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Title

URI won its second straight A-10 outdoor track & field title. It is the seventh time in the last eight years the Rams have captured the conference crown. [+]

Ryan McCarthy
Men's Track & Field
McCarthy captured two events at the 2008 A-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship and was named the meet's Most Outstanding Field Performer. The senior defended his titles in the shot put and javelin. He also finished second in the discus.
Sarah Thornton
Women's Track & Field
Thornton was named the Most Outstanding Field Event Performer at the 2008 A-10 Championship, after becoming the first four-time winner of the discus. The senior won the event with a toss of 153-08. She was also second in the hammer and fifth in the shot put.
