Rhode Island travels to Omaha, Neb. to take on Creighton in the opening round of the 2008 MasterCard National Invitation Tournament (NIT) on Tuesday, March 18 at 10 p.m. ET. The game between the Rams and the Blue Jays will be televised live nationally on ESPNU, with Dave Armstrong and Jack Armstrong providing the call. Fans can also tune into the action via the radio, as Steve McDonald and Don Kaull call the action on WHJJ 920 AM and The Bridge 99.3 FM.

On Wednesday night, Rhode Island will face Charlotte in the opening round of the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. The game will tipoff at approximately 9 p.m.

The Rams, closing out the regular season with a 21-10 overall record and 7-9 mark in A-10 play, enter the tournament as the #11 seed and will face #6 Charlotte at approximately 9 p.m. The winner of the contest will take on #3 Massachusetts on Thursday, March 13 at approximately 9 p.m.

Kahiem Seawright tallied his seventh double-double of the season, with 17 points and 15 boards, as Rhode Island dropped a 74-64 decision at home to Charlotte.

URI heads into next week's Atlantic 10 Championship as the #11 seed and will face #6 Charlotte on Wednesday, March 12 at 9 p.m.

Rams Close Out Regular Season on Saturday Night against Charlotte

On Saturday night, Rhode Island will play its final home game of the 2007-08 regular season when it hosts Charlotte at 7 p.m.

A trio of senior student-athletes - Joe Mbang, Parfait Bitee and Will Daniels - as well as head manager Pat Henderson will be honored prior to tipoff as part of Senior Day. The Senior Day celebration is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. Fans are encouraged to get to the Ryan Center early as not to miss the pre-game ceremony.
