Well, it looks like the selection committee did an outstanding job of picking the top seeds. For the first time ever, the Final Four is what "it should be," at least on paper.

All four #1 seeds will be in San Antonio (it's a super venue for the event, by the way) this week for the Final Four - which also coincides with the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches ) Convention. I will be heading off to Texas later this week. There are many meetings, clinics and seminars to take in for coaches, as well as the NABC Expo which covers anything and everything possible with the game of basketball - from soup to nuts so to speak.

Also, stay tuned as there will be news later this week concerning the Final Four festivities and URI...

Like most teams this time of year, the coaching staff meets with their players individually to go over the past season, plan for Spring and Summer plans, to focusing and setting goals for next year.

Already, the three seniors - Jimmy Baron, Jason Francis and Kahiem Seawright have shown their outstanding potential as leaders for next year's team and Coach Baron expects them to do a big time job.

I'll be in touch from Texas with some behind-the-scenes Final Four scoop. On an aside, I really, really enjoyed watching Stephen Curry and Davidson play - he was amazing!

Go Rhody!
