ACHA #1 Rams finish regular season with sweep of #13 Washington and Jefferson

The Rams enter ECHA League play-offs this weekend at Westchester University with an overall record of 33-2-1. In terms of ECHA play, the team is a perfect 20-0 and have a bye during the first round of this post-season tournament. In finishing with an undefeated regular season record, the Rams look to continue their success in the ECHA while keeping focus on the preparing for the ACHA National Tournament coming up March 2-6, 2005 in Bensenville, Il and hosted by Robert Morris College.

The Rams possess a solid offense with six 30+ point players (Matt Loftus (21G, 27A), Scott Eberenz (22G, 23A), Mike Curran (19G, 25A), Chris Brennan (18G, 24A), John Brennan (17G, 22A), Mark Soltys (18G, 17A)), and another five players follow with 20+ points (Matt Ranger, Brandon Kape, Anthony Randazzo, Derrek Douglas, Scott Cubeta). The Rams team offense for 2004-2005 has averaged 5.94 goals per game.

Team defense has done an equally impressive job allowing only 1.46 goals against. Goaltender Anthony Feyock has had a lot to do with this solid defensive play as his 1.54 GAA leads the team and he is supported by platoon-mates Stever Baker (1.61 GAA), Sal Perrone (0.92 GAA), and Kevin Stockslager (0.46 GAA). The defensive supporting corp is led by experienced upperclassmen Matt Ranger, Steve Currier, and Scott Cubeta.

The Rams face-off in the ECHA semi-final round on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 5:00 pm in Iceline Arena located in Westchester, PA. They will face the lowest remaining seed remaining among the early-round participants (West Virginia, Westchester, Navy, Towson).
