2008 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Day Three Results

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The University of Rhode Island men's swimming & diving team capped off day three at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championships in seventh place with 205.5 points.

Sophomore Gerard Donlevy (Lake Grove, N.Y.) posted the best finish of the afternoon for the Rams as he raced to a time of 51.03 in the 100-yard backstroke to earn third-place.

Senior Ryan Sheatsley (Allentown, Pa.) placed fifth in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:05.42 while freshman Joseph Sagginairo (Bellport, N.Y.) finished 16th in the 100-yard butterfly (52.86).

In the 100-yard breaststroke, freshman Daniel Backler (Newburyport, Mass.) swam a time of 59.31, which placed him 13th overall.

The URI 400-yard medley relay team of Donlevy, Backler, Sheatsley and junior Derek Denard (Doylestown, Pa.) posted a sixth-place finish with a time of 3:25.64.

The A-10 Championships conclude on Saturday.
