Sheatsley Named to A-10 Academic All-Conference Team

2008 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - University of Rhode Island men's swimming senior Ryan Sheatsley (Allentown, Pa.) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference Team. Sheatsley is a mechanical engineering major who holds a 3.88 GPA. At the Atlantic 10 Championships last month, he set a varsity record in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:52.54 and was a member of two relay teams which established varsity records: 400-yard medley relay team (3:25.64) and the 800-yard freestyle relay team (6:52.64). Brad Byars of Saint Louis and Melissa Johnson of Duquesne were named A-10 Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Year, respectively.
