Rams Place 29th at NCAA Northeast Regional Championship

The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team placed 29th at the 2007 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, held at Franklin Park.Twins Adam and Ryan Karweil led the way for the Rams, running together for much of the race. Adam finished 137th overall in a time of 32:43.70, while Ryan was 140th in a time of 32:44.25.

URI Men's Cross Country Places 13th At Atlantic 10 Championship

The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team placed 13th overall at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship, held at Belmont Park in Philadelphia today.

Leading the way for the Rams this afternoon was Ryan Karweil. He placed 67th overall, covering the five mile course in a time of 27:41.0.

URI Competes at New England Championship

The University of Rhode Island men's cross country finished 28th overall at the New England Championship, held today at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Ryan Karweil was the top finisher, crossing the line in 89th place. He clocked 26:42 for the eight-kilometer course.

Rams Compete at the Paul Short Invitational

The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team finished 39th overall in the Paul Short Invitational "Brown" race this afternoon. Nate Ruchames led the way for the Rams, finishing 155th overall. He covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:19.

Adam Karweil led the Rams with his seventh place finish. He covered the five-mile course in a time of 27:26.5.

The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team placed eighth at the Boston College Invitational at Franklin Park, this afternoon. Matthew Gallagher led URI with his 38th place finish. He covered the 8,000m course in a time of 26:15.

Rams Place Third at Trinity Invitational

The University of Rhode Island men's cross country placed third in its 2007 debut at the Trinity College Invitational at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn. URI compiled a team score of 103 points. Matthew Gallagher led the Rams with his 10th place finish. He covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 17:08.

Men's Cross Country Picked to Finish 12th in Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll

The Rhode Island men's cross country team was picked to finish 12th in the Atlantic 10, in voting conducted among the league's head coaches. Last season, URI placed 11th at the conference championship.
