Rhode Island welcomes Craig Ballard, a driven and enthusiastic individual with a strong love to teach and compete, to the Gymnastics coaching staff.

Ballard boasts an impressive resume, including coaching, program development, and marketing experience. From 2003-2006, Ballard was the Team Manager/Student Coach of the West Virginia University Gymnastics Team. He developed progressions and skill development for specefic athletes, helped organize and operate WVU's Gymnastics Camp, and pioneered the current system of uniform and apparel management for the program. In addition to coaching at the camp, he planned and directed all aspects of a Make-A-Wish fundraiser with WVU Gymnastics.

Over the past few summers, Ballard has coached upper level and compulsory level athletes from many areas around the country at Woodward Camp in Woodward, Pa. He has also conducted seminars in which he has worked with a number of college and private club coaches on creating a positive, enthusiastic learning environment.

Ballard is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Athletic Coaching Education with a 4.0 current grade point average.
