The University of Rhode Island Rams Women's Club Hockey team enters the second semester ranked #3 (ACHA) in the country. URI looks to improve upon its 10-8-2 overall record and 10-1-2 record in the ACHA Women's Division. The road to Nationals doesn't get any easier as the team travels to #4 ranked and 2002 National champion, Michigan State for two games in January, in addition to going head-to-head with #5 Western Michigan for the first time. Five home games highlight the second semester with back-to-back weekend match-ups against ECWHL rivals Penn State (Feb. 5 & 6) and UMass-Amherst (Feb.. 12 & 13).
The Rams start the second semester on the road in Michigan before returning home to play ECWHL opponent, Bates College on Saturday, January 22 at the Bradford Boss Ice Arena in Kingston. The puck drops at 4 p.m. as part of a double-header with the URI Men's Club Hockey game that begins at 7:30 p.m.
