Rams head into Thanksgiving break ranked #2 nationally in the ACHA
Nov. 26, 2004 The Rams have used a very tough non-ACHA schedule against NCAA Division 1 and 3 competition to develop a reshaped 2004-2005 team that is leaner in team size, and higher in competitive quality. The Rams results against NCAA competition (Sacred Heart University (0-2), Neumann College (0-2), New England College (0-1), and St. Anselm College (0-1)) have provided for some tough losses, but has adequately prepared the team for a challenging second half of the season. The Rams ACHA #2 national ranking is well earned as the team's 8-0-2 record illustrates their control of ACHA opponents. The Rams balanced scoring attack is evolving and is coupled with strong defensive play, particularly from goaltenders Lynn Pecci and Kelli Jourdain. The Rams' first game loss to #1 Robert Morris set the stage for the team to restructure and focus on solidifying the foundation for what is shaping up to be another strong season and run at the National tournament. The Rams will have another chance against NCAA competition as they host Division 1 Sacred Heart on Sat. Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. at the Boss Ice Arena in Kingston, RI.
