JACKSONVILLE, Fla - The Rhode Island women's tennis team picked up its third consecutive 7-0 shutout victory, Friday afternoon at Florida Community College at Jacksonville.

Rhody won all three doubles matches with Nyssa Peele and Christen Cadigan taking down their opponents at No. 1 (8-3) while Grace Hedstrom and Valerie Chacon won at No. 2 (8-4) and Steff Catanzano and Amanda Barletta defeated FCCJ's third pair (8-1).

In singles, Peele, Cadigan, Hedstrom, Barletta, Chacon and Kristen Liu each won their matches at the Nos. 1-6 positions, respectively.

The Rams return to action at Connecticut for a 2:30 p.m. match on March 27.
