First season at URI, coached the new discus record as well as enhanced the depth of the Rhody throwing squad earning 13 A-10 finalists and numerous personal records throughout the season ... Attended the NTCA conference in Ohio in November and continues to compete as a post-collegiate athlete in the weight and hammer throw ... Placed fifth in the hammer at the USA Outdoor Nationals recording a best mark of 215'5" ... earned USATF Level II throws coaches certification in the summer of 2006 ... ranked by Track and Field News as the number seven hammer thrower in the country for 2006.

America East team champions indoor and outdoor 2000-2001... 4 time Vermont team MVP... 4 time America East field Performer of the year (1 indoor, 3 outdoor)... 2004- America East Scholar Athlete of the year... 2004- Academic ALL AMERICAN... 2004- J. Married to URI men's assistant coach Derek Yush in July of 2006. Originally from Northwood, NH... full time physical education teacher at Montville High School in C.T.... is a Level II USATF certified throws coach.
