URI Competes at 2007 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship

BOSTON -- The University of Rhode Island women's cross country team placed 32nd at the 2007 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, held at Franklin Park.

The Rams totalled 858 points on the afternoon. Providence took home the team title, with 73 points.

Rhody was led by Mary Najarian, who finished in 133rd place. She clocked 23:18.90 for the six-kilometer course. Teammate Brittany Pelsue finished close behind, in 138th place. She crossed the line in 23:22.30.

Rounding out the URI finishers, Lindsay Post placed 231st (25:28.10), while Caitlin Demchko was 234th (25:33.50).
